Updates on my life!
It really has been a while since i've posted. Here's some things that are going on or stuff that i kust want to voice out.
SchoolFinally, the exams are over. The project period was a killer. Talk about rushing.
Studying for the exams were ok. The first paper which is Organisational Behaviour, was quite ok. Should be able to pass i think. As for the second paper which i took today; Destination Planning and Development was kinda... let's just say unpredictable. When i opened the paper, i was kinda blank but i manged to do the paper without finishing due to the lack of time. Hopefully i'll pass cause i seriously don't want to be taking a sub paper for my final year when i haven't taken a sub paper before. This time's results, hopefully can get at least an A for my sociology.
Well... after today (touch wood that i won't take a sub paper) it would be my last days of studying. SIP starts on the 13th Sept and for those who don't know, i'll be doing my internship at an events company called Ritz Events located at Outram.
Time seems to go by so fast. I'll be graduating in a blink of an eye. Not much memories in poly though. Never really had any solid friends. Just had loads of bullshit from certain immature idiots but you know what, i won't hold any grudges. I'm gonna leave TP with my happier memories and forget about the negative ones.
Finally, i want to thank my project mates Xiang Zhen, Joyce, Carolyn, Siok Hui, Geraldine and Linda for the time and effort spent on the project and thanks for the lunch times spent together and not to mention the group outing. Thanks a lot girls.
Also thanks to VRHD. (you know who you are! lol!)
WorkWork has been quite ok. Tiring, aches and pains but it's alright. (well.. most of the times)
Here comes my complains time!
To parents who don't know how to look after their own children, the staff and I are not there to help you look after them. When you have two kids and you see us helping your larger kid, shouldn't common sense tell you that you should also automatically help your smaller kid? Then when your kid gets hurt cause of your neligence, you blame us or you shoot us a dirty look. Seriously, i'm just trying to help but what can i do if you don't wanna help your own kids? It's not my freaking fault.
To the guests: I am not stupid neither am i an idiot. I don't owe you people anything. I'm there just to work and not to be called names just cause of your pea brainness. You people do something wrong or request for something that is against our company's policy and then schold us for simply just following the rules and doing our job.
To the arsehole to spit at my colleague: Be civilised! Where the hell were you born? As i said, we don't owe you people anything. If you want to be treated with respect, treat us with respect. We are humans too and not animals just cause we are supposed to 'serve' you.
To guests who simply love to compain about the smallest things: Everybody does the same thing. They all Q for 45mins for the ride, so why must you get all cranky while the others are not compaining at all? If you think it's too much, then don't take the ride!
The service industry is hell. We get treated like animals by guests who think that they're all high and mighty. They think we're stupid and/or incapable that's why we're working there. For your info, most of us are poly students/grads and some are even studying in the uni. We're not stupid and we don't deserve to be treated the way we are treated.
How can we provide good customer service when the customer themselves are ugly? This is not just a 'rare occasion' basis. I get this almost everytime i work. Luckily i'm not a full-time staff or i might just die.

Why am i still working even though it's like crap sometimes? Cause of the smiles and laughter of the kids and cause of the smiles and laughter of the physically or mentally challenged. Cause of the thank yous and words that make my day.
